Extending/renewing Dubai visa? Deets inside

Dubai has recently changed its visa extension policies. Now people who are in Dubai as tourists or for a job can extend their visa while staying there. They can do this two times without leaving the country, and you get an extension of up to 60 days.

Isn’t this an incredible thing for all job-seekers or tourists? They do not have to leave the country to get an extension. When all they want to do is stay for more sightseeing! Or to linger for some time to find the perfect job.

Now, it is possible. But there are a few things that you need to keep in mind when going for a visa extension for Dubai when living there.

Go for an extension timely

When you know that you need a visa extension, do not wait till the last day. If you go to an embassy on the last date, you will have to pay a fine of AED100. Thus, it is best to be on top of your visa extension and go visit the visa center before the last date.

Go for medical testing

To extend/renew your visa, go to DNR. The department of naturalization and residency requires a medical certificate. If you plan to live in Dubai or extend your stay, you must know that the state requires a health certificate. Thus, produce them in front of the renewal department for getting the visa.

To do so, visit a DHA medical fitness center in Dubai. It is a centrally located medical fitness center. It will hook you up with a test and provide a certificate in no time.

Have a valid passport

Another pre-requital for getting a visa or a visa extension is to have a valid passport. The passport validity should last six months to get a visa.

Reasons for rejections of visa

We know that visa extension or renewal policies in Dubai are more relaxed now. However, you still need to know the mistakes that can cost you the visa. If your visa application is rejected, the reasons can be the following:

1. Invalid passport

If your passport is invalid, you will not get a visa. You require a valid six-month passport to get a visa for Dubai. Also, if your passport is hand-written, they will reject your visa application.

2. Criminal charges

If you have a past criminal record for misconduct or scams in UAE or in your country, the chances of rejection of visa application is high.

3. Not canceling the residence visa

If any tourist or job-seeker has a residence visa for Dubai and left the country without canceling it, they may face problems. Such people will find it challenging to get visa again. To solve this issue, they will have to go to the immigration office and cancel their residence visa.
The same thing is true for people with a tourist visa, who didn’t enter the country for some reason.

Dubai is a beautiful and peace-loving country. If you want to visit or work here, follow these rules to get your visa application approved.
