4 ways a blogger can build their network

Are you a new blogger who is trying to make it big? Well, then one thing you need to do ASAP is to network. Making friends is important in this business, whether it is with other bloggers or with brands who can sponsor your posts or collaborate with you.

If you are feeling too shy or scared because you feel that the other bloggers or brands will laugh at you. Do not worry! You are not the only one. Every new blogger feels this way, but networking is imperative to your success, and no other blogger will laugh at you for making attempts.

You only need to know the right methods to connect with other bloggers or brands. One thing that can help you connect with bloggers that you meet on social media or otherwise is to have a smart business card. You can share or leave your contact information via the digital business card on their messenger or Facebook page. Or even in the comment section of their blog. It will help you out more in connecting with bloggers with ease.

When you network with bloggers, you get to

  • Promote each other’s blog

  • Work on a product together

  • Run a campaign or organize a giveaway together.

  • It provides you with both an opportunity to get a higher ranking and get exposure from each other’s viewers.

When you network with brands, you get

  • Sponsorship

  • A chance to earn more money and become an influencer

Here are a few tips that will help you network.

1. Do comment on blogs of other bloggers

Find some quality blogs that you like and are in your niche. They don’t have to be the top in ranking but certainly need to be top quality-wise. When you do find them, start commenting on their blogs. First, start with your name and a comment. Then you can begin leaving a link to your blog or its name.

Bookmark the blog you want to connect with and remember to comment on their blog posts a few times till you connect using other methods.

2. Connect with brands on social media

Start with local brands in your niche. Drop a message to them on social media or through email. You can also visit them in person if it is a retail store and you would like their sponsorship or collaborate with them anyhow.

Do not worry, if one or two or even ten brands reject your collaboration deals. With time, you will get better at pitching, and you will get sponsorships.

3. Tweet the blog that or piece you like

If you are reading an article or blog post that you are liking and you have the option to tweet them, do. The author must have the click to tweet button, and you should use it as it doesn’t cost you anything. But it does help you network with a new blogger.

4. Reply to mails

When you sign up for an email list for a brand or blogger, you get auto emails for a lot of things. It will be fun to reply to some. It will give you a chance to network as well. It is unusual, but it works.

Keep these tips in mind and be sure to have a digital business card now. As you run an online business, you need to have a card that you can share with anyone, anywhere and, anytime.
