Which is better — Car Service at the Doorstep or at a Workshop?

Car service is better at home if you want the ease of being at home, and if you want the perfect resources then you would prefer to take your car to the workshop. It depends on you what is easier and beneficial for you. Your car can be serviced at the doorstep or you can choose to opt-in for the workshop. There are different pros and cons of both types of service. These are as follows:

Pros and Cons of Car Service at Doorstep 

Pros:

• If the garage is far away from your home then it is better to get your car service at your home by calling the technicians.
• If you don’t have much time and want to spend more time at home, use the doorstep service for saving your time.
• If there is a long queue at the workshop, use doorstep service to avoid this hassle.
• In doorstep service, your car gets serviced in front of you. You can see whether the service people are repairing the damaged part or they are replacing it.

Cons:

• If you opt for the doorstep car service and you don’t know the exact issue with your car, your car might have an additional problem that is discovered by that serviceman and it can be only solved at the workshop, this whole process will take your time.
• Generally, 1-2 technicians come for doorstep car service with all the equipment they needed. But if cars have more problems and they are short of equipment, then it will take much time and effort to resolve the issue. 
• The services like high power cleaning machine, steam cleaners, dressing, polishing, waxing, etc. are specialized services at the workshop but are not provided at the doorstep.

Pros and Cons of Car Service at the Workshop 

Pros:

• The various car issues can be solved by multiple technicians. It is better to take your car to the workshop rather than calling 1-2 technicians at home.
• You can get specialized services for your car at a workshop like high-pressure vacuum cleaners, denting, painting, wax polish, Engine flush treatment, and many more.
• Your time can be saved if you take your car at a workshop because various tools like car lifting machines, bolt guns, and balancing machines can be easily at the workshop.
• All the minor and major issues of your car can be fixed up and detailed scanning can be done, if your car gets service at the workshop.

Cons:

• From your busy schedule, you would need time for taking your car to the workshop. However, some of the service centers now provide free pick up and drop service for your car.
• You may not be able to see your car service in front of your eyes. There is no problem if you trust the car servicing center, but if you don’t trust the service center it would be more convenient to take car service at doorstep.

With the above advantages and disadvantages of both, you can choose the type of service which is suitable according to your budget, time and car’s issue.
