Blog business card- Things to add in it

Running a blog requires efforts, hard-work, creativity, and investing in time and money. Sure, starting a blog is pretty easy and inexpensive as you can buy a free domain or an affordable domain.

But if you want to ensure that your blog is successful in the long-run, you have to work hard for it. You need to invest in marketing, and business elements and one such element is a business card.

You can opt for a paper business card or an electronic business card or both. Both kinds are important and their pros and cons. As a blogger, you need to have a smart business card because you work or collaborate with a lot of people online. Having a digital business card is necessary so that everyone is aware of what your business has to offer.

Now, you may start thinking about getting a business card for your blog too. But the more important question is what details you should put in it as a blogger? Is it the same as everyone else or a bit different? Let’s find out below.

Here are the top things that you as a blogger must have on your business card.

Name

It is a must-have, and everyone knows this. So, use the same name as the one you have on your blog. If you don’t have any name or blog anonymously, use a nickname or a pseudonym as people looking to collaborate with you need a name to address you on mails, and so on.

The URL of your website

Every email you send out to other businesses or collaborators needs to have important details, like your URL. If you have a digital business card, you can add the URL to it only. The same goes for the paper business card.

Write the full URL link so that people can check your blog out and make relevant offers. Tips:
Don’t add HTTP, it takes up space and everyone knows that it goes in front of WWW. Also, most browsers can open the link without it.

If the URL has WordPress or Blogspot at the end, skip WWW, if your links open without it. It saves space.

Picture

Using an image of yourself in the business card is optional. It is a good idea though, only if you use the latest image. It can help people remember the conversation with you or attach an image to their mind of the convo that you two had on the phone.
If this idea doesn’t appeal to you, ensure that the blog has a picture of you.

Phone number

Another must-have. List the official number you use for business and make sure it is updated timely. A benefit of using a digital business card is that you can automatically update it if you change it.

QR codes

A QR code is a black square thing which when you can, you can download the details to your phone. A lot of digital business cards have them and it is great to include one too.

Social media links and your status as a writer or graphic designer plus writer is something you should also mention.

A business card is a great step towards creating more business opportunities for your blog. So, opt for both digital and paper business cards, and don’t let any opportunities go.
